About Minca

Where Minca started

Minca Wood began with a pile of discarded wood and a love for design. From my studio in Geldrop, I turn leftovers into laser-cut souvenirs and gifts that tell meaningful stories.

From waste to wonder

I’m Yolima, a Colombian creator who moved to the Netherlands and fell in love with Eindhoven’s creative spirit. Surrounded by innovation and sustainability, I saw beauty in what others threw away. One day, after noticing the scraps from a wood workshop, I decided to give them a new purpose, and Minca Wood was born.

What started as a small experiment in my home studio soon became a way to tell stories through design. Every magnet, ornament, or custom gift carries a piece of the city’s charm, and a reminder that creativity can grow from anything, even leftovers.

At Minca Wood, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s the foundation. Every product is made from rescued wood, locally sourced and laser-cut with care. My goal is to create beautiful, lasting objects that make people smile while keeping waste out of landfills.

Each piece begins as an idea on paper and ends as a handcrafted design, carefully sanded, engraved, and packed with its own story. What keeps me going is the mix of design, humor, and connection, knowing that something made in my studio can travel the world and make someone’s day a little brighter.
